Hi, I’m Jose Luis, though I also can go by Jozey. I was born in Chile and moved to the U.S. with my parents at a young age, I was raised in the Fruitvale district and Lake Merritt area, Oakland is basically my second home. I attended Albany high school and attended Laney college after graduating where I began studying architecture. Along the way, I got into design and started freelancing as a graphic designer for friends and small businesses. That sparked my curiosity about website & app development, so I took some JavaScript courses and stumbled upon the world of User Experience Design. I enrolled in a bootcamp at General Assembly, where I learned the ins and outs of designing practical apps and websites. During the program, I collaborated with teams on some really cool projects. After completing the course, I dove into real-world work, contributing to projects like RillaVoice and Casillas Immigration.
